About Soccer Speed Camps: Camps are held at  held at Coach Pantas' training facility in Fairview NC and consist of three 11/2 hour sessions held on three consecutive days.  Emphasis is on achieving two major goals: 1) correction of major faults in sprinting technique and 2) instruction in essential drills that will help young athletes develop greater sprinting speed. Complete refund if your camper is not significantly faster after the camp!

Summer Camp:

Age: 9-16 years

$80 per camper.
Registration Form: Registration in advance of each camp is required. Either online or mail in registration form with payment.


Campers should wearing running shoes, not soccer cleats, and bring a water bottle. Parents are invited to stay for camp sessions.

From I-240, take 74A to Fairview. Continue on 74A about 7 miles to the end of the 5-lane road, cross over Cane Creek and take a left onto Village Road. Take the 3rd left onto Garren Creek Road, and go 3.5 miles to left onto Garren Mountain Lane. Look for a white sign by the entrance to Garren Mountain Lane that says "Cherry Orchard Studio".  Follow the road to the log home (Pantas residence)

Soccer Speed was originally developed by A. C. Reynolds High School and Asheville Lightning Sprints and Hurdles Coach Lee Pantas in 2002 as a method to help soccer, football, baseball and softball players develop sprint speed.

Coach Pantas is a USA Track & Field Level 1 Coach, and has helped thousands of young athletes get faster over short distances. His Track & Field specialty is hurdles and in his coaching career has had over numerous All-Americans, and over 60 Conference & State Champions in the hurdles, an event where speed is an absolute necessity.

Soccer Speed is designed to teach young athletes the fundamentals of proper sprinting and starting technique. Instruction covers basic sprint biomechanics and sprinting form, individual correction of major running faults, starting and reaction skills, and speed development drills.
